The Young Veins

They have a new song posted called Change. I like it, but I would like it a lot more if it didn't sound exactly like it was ripped off of an old Beatles album. It sounds like the missing track off of Rubber Soul or Revolver. I love the Beatles a whole bunch, but when bands sound this much like them, I find it kinda unimaginative. Not that I wouldn't buy the album or anything, but it's just not screaming "creativity" the way Panic always did for me.

And the lyrics, "Some people never change. they just stay the same way." hmmm... i wonder who he's referring to? lol

What do you guys think?

The very obvious rivalry between Panic!/The Young Veins is... kinda funny, not gonna lie. Like, they're not very subtle, are they?
I'm not a big fan, personally. I think I'm definitely a Team Panic! person.

Holy shit. It couldn't be more of a rip off. It's kinda ridiculous. I'm not going to write them off because of one song but I will definitely need to hear another song by them before I make a decision.

i agree with everyone..it is a total rip off, i like Panic! better, but at the same time i didn't think "Change" was too bad and i want to give Ryan/Jon a chance...
i do have to admit, as much as i don't respect ryan at all anymore, i love the way he writes.

i understand that the beatles introduced that kind of music, but plenty of bands song just like them. I honestly love panic, but they're starting to sound like everyone else to. I think young veins is more mellow and my style of music. besides i don't think it sounds that much like the beatles. it has the feel of a beatles song, but that's their main influence and i'm sure paul would love it and be flattered if he ever happened to hear it. just my opinion

See I'm not feeling the mellow lately. I'm really into the Warped bands right now. A Day To Remember, Escape The Fate, Senses Fail, Saosin, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, A Skylit Drive.

I love mellow music as well as dance-y music, but i just wasn't a fan of this. I love the Beatles, but if I want to listen to one of their songs, I'm going to go actually listen to one of their songs instead of a band who is trying their hardest to sound like them, which i'm pretty sure is what Ryan and jon are going for here.
