I'm Really Happy/Excited Because....

I'm happy because after a six week long internship and a full week of working/catching up on school work from my internship, I am finally on summer break. I have to work this evening from 4-8, but after that it's just sleeping til noon and lounging in my PJs all day... yeah right. my mom's the cleaning nazi, so i'm sure I'll probably actually be way more busy then i was with my internship.

I'm really happy because this forum is here! Omg it feels like it's been a lifetime without you guys. I am super busy though so I might not get on as often as I would like.

I'm also excited because tomorrow a co-worker and I are just planning on having a gong show of a day. He's going through a rough patch and we are both having our hours severely cut so we're just going to drink and do random things while drunk, like going to the movies or going to the folk fest. We're just going to have a crazy adventure and forget all our worries. I will have camera in hand to document said events lol.

i am really happy because i am about to go see The Hangover for the 4th time in a week

as for having your hours cut, i'm sorry to hear that. it's happened to me too. this economy really sucks, eh?

I'm happy because warped tour is only 3 or 4 weeks away!

Kyrstn, I feel you about hours being cut. I've had mine reduced to zero so I'm hunting for a new job. Second time in six months!

I'm excited because my dad's about to pick me up, and on Friday we're going away for a week. This is even more special because my dad and step mum got engaged last night! They've been together for about ten years now so it's really exciting

I'm excited because I'm going to the BC Lions game tonight. Second game of the season. And I'm going with my parents so I'm excited to see them too. Haven't seen them since Father's day.

I'm excited to sleep in my own bed tonight. I love everything about camping except for sleeping in a tent. And last night it poured rain and all my stuff got soaked so i had to sleep in the passenger's side seat of my car. not the best sleep ever. but tonight it's back to normal.

I'm excited because tomorrow (well technically today) I have the day off. And I'm actually going to be able to be productive! Even though I'll be doing school I'm actually really happy to have the chance to just sit down and do it. I'll feel better after I get some work done. Hopefully it will be nice tomorrow. It always seems to rain on my days off.

I'm happy because it's my birthday, and even though I'm old, I'm getting to celebrate in South Philadelphia tonight with two of my best friends. And I have a really cute outfit to wear.

Unfortunatly my mom threw out my camera charger, and the battery died, so i didn't have it with me. BUT my friend Rob took some pictures so we'll see how those turn out and then they'll probably be on facebook. Well, they'll be on facebook anyway, because i remember making a not-so-sober promise to not de-tag any picture of myself from that night. So it's going to be interesting.

I'm soooooooo freakin' excited because tomorrow (well actually today, Friday) is the first day of my week off!! I have a whole, entire week off! Partly due to me taking time off and partly due to my hours being cut. Oh well. So good times started today when I finished my shift. I came home, baked, went and got my hair done (I got purple put in! Pictures to come after my awesome weekend). Then went to Harry Potter (loved it). Tomorrow (today) it is off to my friends house to celebrate her being done with her MCAT (writes it in the morning). This means booze + rockband + homemade muffins lol. Saturday a quick trip home to visit parents/friends. Sunday is the beginning of the road trip. Drive down to Seattle-ish area to see No Doubt with Paramore and The Sounds. Then two more days down there to shop and do whatever else we want. Then two more days to do whatever I want. OMG so excited!

KAZ - that sounds awesome! You'll have to post pics of the purple in your hair. Yeah, wasn't HP awesome?! Have fun at the show!

I'm excited because the guy I've liked for a very long time told me that he really really likes me. Unfortunately he has a live-in gf. Something to work through, i guess.

I'm happy because today I'm going up to New York with my best friend Lauren to hang out with some guys. Idk if anyone has ever heard of the band "the Upwelling", but we met them once at a Matches concert. We stayed in contact and now we're going up to see them. I have a huge crush on the guy Ari, who always sends me emails with winky faces and signs "Love, Ari". This is more then just fan/band love....


Also Paolo Nutini is playing here on saturday. I still haven't decided if I want to go or not, but I probably will. I love him

I'm excited because i got my new keyboard, and i've already learned how to play most of Everything We Had.

I'm excited because this week of vacation has been fantastic. It was exactly what I needed. Now hopefully since I've had my fun I'll be able to buckle down and get some serious studying done. I have extra motivation since now I'm apparently going to Warped which is the day before my two finals. So I just have to study really hard so that I'm totally prepared and not worried at all during the concert.

I'm also super excited because one of my friends just got back from her exchange. She's been away in Europe since the middle of January and she just got back like a week ago. We've both been really busy so were making plans to see each other next week and I just cannot wait.

Have fun with your friend KAZ! And have fun studying??? (btw, you are the most studious person i know. I think like half of the posts you ever made on the old tai.biz were about studying. that's a good thing though. i wish i had a little bit of your motivation.)

Haha it's all talk. I go on and on about how I have to study but I don't actually do it. And I wouldn't have to do "serious studying" now if I had been more on top of things throughout the summer lol.

I am so happy because right now it's storming out. I love thunder and lightning storms but we don't get them very often. It was such a weird day because it started off gorgeous, then it clouded over but was still super warm, then started raining, and then was a full on storm. It totally came out of nowhere. AND it was crazy because we have this thing called the Symphony of Fire or HSBC Celebration of Lights which is a fireworks competition. There are four nights with each night being a different country and it's about a 20-25 minute firework display set to music. It's a big thing every summer and thousands of people flock to the beaches to watch. Well of course today was one of the nights of fireworks. It didn't seem to matter though. People were still out there sitting on the beach waiting for the show to start. It was just the coolest thing. Sitting in the rain on a beach, watching the lightening. And then the fireworks started and there were moments when it was like you can not plan that shit. Like there would be a huge thing of explosions and then right when it ended and there was a little lull there would be a huge thing of lightning that would like up the entire sky. It was the one of the coolest things I've ever experienced. It was a really great night.

I'm really happy because today I got to see one of my friends who I never see. She lives ages away and the only time I really see her is at concerts in Sydney. I met her through beckybiz, actually
Today we went shopping and I bought This Providence's new album- which is amazing, by the way- and Everything in Transit by Jack's Mannequin, which I only ever downloaded, but it was on sale for $10 so i thought why not. And my friend was selling her Cobra Starship "Kiss My Sass" vinyl so I bought that off her
Hopefully this will encourage my to finish my major clean out of my room and set up my record player, hahhaaaa.

I'm really excited because i just got an email from my faculty mentor asking me to do a 90-minute presentation about Effective Art Groups for Individuals with Dementia at the NJ/EPA TRA (New Jersey/Eastern Pennsylvania Therapeutic Recreation Association) fall conference in November. I did a 20-minute version of the presentation for my professional seminar (for which my mentor was my professor), and I guess she liked it so much that she thought it would make a good professional presentation. Unfortunately it means I'm going to have to speak in front of a crowd of professionals (who have been in my field for much longer then I have) for 90 minutes but she offered to co-present with me, so I think I'm going to take her up on that offer. This is really exciting for me, because i'm going to make a ton of great new contacts in my area and I'll get my name out there to other professionals so that when I start looking for a full time job after graduating in May, it'll probably be a lot easier.

I'm SUPER EXCITED because my new kitten Andy comes home today! He's ten weeks old and sooooo tiny. I'll be posting pictures of him later!!
